Import Materials

If you already have an existing materials library in another place, such as a spreadsheet or other application, you may not want to go through the hassle of manually recreating each material in Molequles one-by-one.

Molequles provides the ability to import materials in bulk from a TSV, CSV or JSON file.

You can visit the Import Materials page by clicking the "Import Materials" button in the top right of the Materials page.

Follow the instructions in the page to provide a properly formatted file. Once the file is parsed, you will have to map the columns in the file to the available fields in Molequles

• Name -> Name
• Synonym -> Descriptor
• CAS -> CAS
• and so on...

Molequles provides a preview of the materials that are about to be imported, with error checking on the column mappings. Once everything is validated and you've reviewed the materials to be added, you can confirm and import all of them.
