Profiles
Profiles are helpful for visualizing and categorizing a material's scent and its impact on a formula.

Managing Profiles
Creating a Profile
Navigate to the Profiles page and press the + button in the top right corner to create a new profile.
Editing Profiles
Profiles can be edited to change the color or name of the profile. Simply click on the profile in the Profiles page to edit it.
Deleting a Profile
WARNING
Deleting a profile will remove the profile from any materials that were using it, affecting the Profiles breakdown of any formulas using those materials.
To delete a profile, click the delete (-) icon next to its name in the Profiles page.
Working with Profiles
Profiles can be added to a Material to categorize its scent, headspace, impact, or any other quality you would like to visualize and compare.
Organization patterns
How you organize your profiles is entirely up to you, and different approaches will yield different results in terms of how formulas are visualized. Here are two approaches you can take to achieve two different types of profiling:
Note-based profiling
Create a profile for each distinct smell. This will yield a formula graph that is similar to what you'd see in a breakdown of a fragrance in Fragrantica or other site. Results in a larger amount of profiles and more granular graphs.

Bucketed profiling
Use broader profiles to place materials into "buckets". This will result in a formula graph that better describes the overall characteristics of a formula, but not its distinct notes or materials.
