Formulas

Formulas in Molequles can be comprised of two things:
- Materials
- Other formulas (e.g. accords, bases, etc)
With the ability to include formulas within formulas, you can easily compose using accords and bases, or make quick additions to an existing formula without altering the original.
You can even nest multiple levels of formulas. For example, a base comprised of multiple accords, which is then used in a final perfume.
Creating a New Formula
There are two ways to create a formula in Molequles.
Create a Formula from the Materials View

In the materials view, you can select any number of materials by checking the boxes on the left, or Ctrl/Cmd-clicking the table rows. Once two or more materials are selected, construct a formula by pressing the blue '+' button in the top right.
Create a Formula from the Formulas View
In the formulas view, click the blue '+' button in the top right to add a new, empty formula.
Importing a Formula
In the formulas view, click on the Import button in the top right to go to the Import Formula page and follow the instructions there. You can import a formula in practically any structured text format (CSV, TSV, JSON, Markdown or similar)
Organizing Formulas

Formulas can be grouped together with the use of tags. By setting "Group By: Tags" in the Formulas page display filter, you can essentially have a "folder view" of your formulas.
Searching for Formulas
You can search for formulas using any parameter, including the names of materials within them.
This makes it easy to find, for instance, all formulas that use Patchouli.
You can also search by tags, profiles, and any other terms within the formula notes or name.
